Manual Lathe Training

Whilst working towards my apprenticeship as a Toolmaker for Parker Pen learning what I thought was everything there is to know about using manual and CNC machines and achieving my C&G level 3, ONC and HNC in engineering, I find myself even now learning old and new techniques for operations that can be carried out on machine tools.

I currently deal with several colleges and although they teach a good standard of learning they do not have the time and funds to teach everything I was fortunate to of been taught in industry. Hence I am willing to teach individuals who really want to learn how to use a manual metal lathe.

If you live local to the Brighton area, of any age, are totally new to engineering and machining or partially self taught looking for extra tuition contact me here to discuss what I can offer.

I have my Assessors award enabling me to assess level 1 NVQs in machining up to Management NVQs level 5. For the right candidates I can also deliver NVQ Level 1 and 2 in setting and using centre lathes for production. This is nationally recognised and a great stepping stone for getting employment in engineering. It could also be an opportunity towards securing an apprenticeship in a company managed by SIGTA Ltd.
